Sales Director (Electrical Trade and Merchant Distribution) Field based - Volution Ventilation UK Ltd - Remote

We are excited to be hiring for a national Sales Director to manage our Electrical Trade and Merchant channels to deliver sustainable profitable growth across the Manrose Ventilation brand. This is a full-time, permanent, field-based role and a superb opportunity for a dynamic motivated individual. Initially you will be supporting and working alongside our Senior Sales Director. This role reports to the Volution UK Group Sales Director.
Manrose Ventilation trades with all major UK electrical wholesalers, enabling the successful candidate to further enhance their network within this space. Being part of the wider Volution Group plc, this opportunity would also offer development opportunities to further enhance your long-term career development.
You will bring your experience and networks within the electrical industry, and you will ideally currently have exposure to supplying electrical products into trade channels, from large national wholesalers to independent buying groups.
You’ll be able to negotiate commercial agreements, be responsible for a national sales force based across all regions of the UK, bringing with you great people management experience, from hire to training and development, and manage your annual budget driving sales and profitability.
As a Sales Director, your responsibilities will include:
· Leading the sales activity within the Electrical Trade and Merchant distribution
· Liaise with all relevant internal departments across Volution Ventilation UK
· Develop the current Trade & Merchant channels implementing senior level endorsed strategic account plans that deliver sustainable profitable growth.
· Manage / report Customer Commercial terms in line with Company guidelines
· Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels
· Forecast and create annual sales budgets in line with the approved UK budget for regions and territories determining appropriate sales objectives.
· Identify, explore, and evaluate new account opportunities in the Retail and Online platform
· Monitor pricing of our products against the competition in the customer base, and in the wider online arena
· Attend customer events and trade days where necessary
To be successful in this role you will need:
· Strong commercial and selling experience, preferably within the Ventilation or allied industries, with experience of Account management techniques.
· Extensive people management experience.
· Proven ability of creating and executing successful growth strategies in an adjacent industry (Building Materials).
· Professional sales presentation skills and in-depth knowledge and of use of sales techniques, coupled with a high degree of initiative.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage and communicate with people at all levels and to develop sound working relationships is essential.
· Can demonstrate proven ability to collaborate across functions to achieve mutual goals.
· Capable of dealing effectively with complexity.

Job profile:
The role reports into VVUK Quality & Compliance Manager and will require the successful candidate to perform internal audits of other VVUK sites including Crawley, Reading, West Molesey, and visiting suppliers as needed.
In this role, you will be responsible for incoming material inspections (circuit boards, motors, plastics, mouldings, metal machinery and tools), and ensure they meet the anticipated specification.
You’ll be efficient in offering Production line support for non-conforming materials, and supplier reject returns administration.
You’ll be confident in the use of 2D engineering drawings, and mechanical & electrical measuring & test equipment. You will have experience of using Quality Management System to ISO 9001.
As a Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Take an active part in Supplier Quality Assurance at Vent-Axia and at the Supplier’s site, by:
o Performing sample inspection of received parts as required, with a full knowledge of inspection procedures, and maintaining accurate records
o Assessing new parts or products either at Vent-Axia or at the Supplier’s site
Assist Production assuring:
o Documentation issued is correct – such as drawings and work & test instructions.
o The correct assembly processes are utilized.
o There is a correct understanding and use of test gear with associated records, by competent people.
Assisting with 3rd party inspections of the Company by the ASTA-BEAB, CSA, UL and BSI representatives
Ensuring that Health & Safety requirements are considered in all activities.
Assure product quality throughout the system by:
o Control of Non-conforming material.
o Issuing concessions – in conjunction with other departments where necessary – for use of material, which will not compromise product safety or quality.
o Following product changes to completion.
o Maintaining calibration of mechanical & electrical measuring equipment.
Assist with the Company Quality Management system to BS EN ISO 14001 & 9001: 2015 and perform internal audits to the agreed schedule using BSI Connect software.
To be successful in this role you’ll:
· Be an experienced Quality Engineer with previous exposure within a UK manufacturing environment, or similar industry within a technical discipline
· A quick learner with willingness to learn and develop.
· Can influence others with ease, especially when reviewing current processes and how we can improve efficiencies.
· This role is physically demanding across the Dudley manufacturing site, with a requirement to work and support teams across other sites as needed
· Practical experience in a BS EN ISO 9001:2015 approved manufacturing company would be desirable.
· Experience of working to the environmental standard ISO14001:2015, is advantageous
· Competent in the use of engineering drawings; and mechanical & electrical measuring & test equipment.
· Knowledge of a Company-wide MRPII database e.g. E10 – together with IT skills in Word-processing, spreadsheets, etc. Or other Quality Management Systems.
· Working Hours (37.5): 8am – 4.30pm Mon – Thu; 8am – 1.30pm Friday.

Job Profile:
As an Export Customer Service Administrator, you will be single point of contact for all daily operational processes, maintaining accuracy and compliance. You will be accustomed to providing excellent customer service to all Manrose export customers. You will ensure constant communication and will drive customer service excellence and satisfaction.
You'll also be assisting the Export Account Manager and other Export team members in the organisation with implementation and control activities/ projects set around policies and structure, to help realise operational and customer service excellence.
We are seeking candidates who are comfortable with creating internal and external relationships that will allow you to keep informed on shipment status, whilst handling customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. You will utilise management systems to check shipment statuses, and identifying and resolving incidents efficiently.
In addition to day-to-day activities, you may be required to actively participate in projects to meet operational and customer service excellence.
As an Export Customer Service Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service
- Provide outstanding customer service on a daily basis.
- Initial order administration, confirmation of customer orders and expected production dates, all within the Export service level agreements (SLAs).
- Close communication with Production teams concerning availability and logistic requirements.
- Arrange shipping and despatch products to distributors worldwide, while providing the documentation required for customs clearance.
- Production of customs invoices, packing lists, standard shipping notes (SSN’s), export cargo shipping instructions (ECSI’s) and insurance certificates.
- Co-ordinate transport & documentation for shipments from more than one manufacturer. Liaison with freight forwarders, shipping lines, overseas customers, banks and HM Customs.
- Identify cost effective and efficient transport methods movements as required.
- Issue quotes and respond to general customer inquiries from either existing or new customers.
- Control of product returns and authorisation of credit notes. Statement reconciliation of invoicing, credit notes and returns/free issue replacements.
- Provide cover and support for members of the Vent-Axia Export team when needed.
Continuous Improvement/ Projects:
- Work closely with the Internal Team Manager and the Export Account Manager on improvement projects to analyse processes and create structure. All with the aim to increase efficiency reduce error to maximum and obtain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and control existing customers ordering activities to understand their local operations, their performance compared to historical data.
- Build a strong customer relationship and create a pro-active interface between export customers and the business to easily identify new opportunities.
- Follow-up internally any projects initiated by the Export Account Manager, related to the any of the Manrose export customers.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks or ad hoc projects as requested by the Internal Team Manager and the Export Account Manager.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Relevant experience in either an export, import, logistics, freight, shipping, supply chain, or distribution environment, preferably with a manufacturing company.
- Good knowledge of day to day software, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.

The role of the Airtech Administrator is to work with housing providers in providing remedial solutions in moisture and condensation for their many tenants. Your responsibilities amongst others will be:
- Schedule in surveys for our Surveyors across the country using our PACE diary system
- Following survey provide a quote for the required remedial works to the housing provider
- Once the quote is accepted, process the order and relevant paperwork.
- Work with the other team members in clearing down a share email inbox answering queries
- Answering customer, housing provider and surveyor telephone calls
- Support other team members in day-to-day admin duties.
Previous experience within an office administration environment as a team member desirable. Willingness to develop and learn aspects of all tasks would be ideal.
The team consists of one team leader and five administrators based in our Crawley office, Monday to Thursday 8:45am to 4.55pm Friday 8.45 to 4.25pm.
As a Supply Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Creation, allocation, monitoring of orders, predominantly within the social housing sector
- Responding to Inbox emails
